Sustainable purchasing policy
Since January 1, 2023, the French Climate and Resilience Act has required local authorities and public establishments to draw up a Scheme for the Promotion of Socially and Environmentally Responsible Purchasing (SPASER) whenever the annual value of their purchases exceeds 50 million euros.
With total purchases estimated at 120 million euros each year, the launch of over 200 annual contracts and a wide range of purchasing fields (building works and maintenance, IT and multimedia, energy, scientific equipment and consumables, etc.), Sorbonne Université has chosen to equip itself with a structuring tool for the implementation of more responsible public purchasing.
Adopted by Sorbonne Université's Board of Directors on September 26, 2023, the Schéma de Promotion des Achats publics Socialement et Ecologiquement Responsables (SPASER) sets a new course for the university's public purchasing.
