Sorbonne Université is recognised as a world-class, research-intensive, multidisciplinary university.
It is the 1st university in France in terms of European funding and projects acquired via Horizon Europe, the European Union's framework programme for research and innovation from 2021 to 2027.
Among the French participants, Sorbonne Université is the 1st university in France and ranks 6th after the organisations in terms of European budgets obtained. It is also 5th in terms of the number of participants.
Out of the 716 projects submitted by Sorbonne Université as coordinator, partner or associate partner, 146 projects were obtained, including 19 as associate partner.
Sorbonne Université has a success rate of 20% in the Horizon Europe programme, with an overall budget of €63.2m.
SU's success rate was 18% in the Horizon 2020 programme, with a total budget of €100m.
