The Summer University at Sorbonne University
Whether you are a student in France or spending the summer in Paris to attend the Olympic Games, this is the perfect opportunity to discover the country's language and culture during your stay.
Every year, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities organizes the Summer University. For four weeks, the establishment offers anyone over the age of 16 courses on the history and culture of the country and its capital.
Each cycle offers 3-hour courses for 5 days, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the morning or from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the afternoon, which allows you to take advantage of the rest of the day to visit the capital.
There are two course cycles take place in English, cycles 6 and 9, exploring respectively French specificities and the monuments of Paris.

The Summer University also organizes French courses as a foreign language, with options adapted to all types of levels (A1 to C1). This is an excellent opportunity to improve your French and better enjoy your stay.

Practical Information:
- Dates: June 24 to July 19, 2024
- Location: Faculty of Arts and Humanities, 1 Rue Victor Cousin, 75005 Paris, and Maison de la Recherche 28 Rue Serpente, 75006 Paris.
- Price: 500 euros for cycles, and from 840 to 1260 euros for French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses.
- Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the morning or 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the afternoon.
