The first sports and cultural exchange of the 4EU+ Alliance
In this Olympic year, four delegations from 4EU+ Alliance member institutions were hosted by Sorbonne University.
3 days of rich exchanges
From April 2 to 5, 32 students and their supervisors travelled to our campuses to take part in the first sports and cultural meetings as part of the 4EU+ Alliance, alongside their fellow students from Sorbonne University.
Coming from four of the Alliance's member institutions, they represented Charles University, the University of Geneva, the University of Milan and the University of Heidelberg.
The program included welcome activities on several of our campuses, a concert by the Sorbonne University Choir and Orchestra, a visit to the Mineral Collection, participation in the Danse des Jeux on the Malesherbes campus and, of course, sporting encounters at volleyball, badminton and wheelchair basketball tournaments organized by our two sports departments on the Clignancourt and Pierre et Marie Curie campuses.
A reception to honor the students was also held on April 4 on the 24th floor of the Zamansky Tower, in the presence of Pierre-Marie Chauvin, Vice-President, Arts, Sciences, Culture and Society, and Guillaume Fiquet, Vice-President, International Relations, Territorial and Socio-Economic Partnerships; Mélodie Tran Thuan, Vice-President, Students, Sabine Bottin-Rousseau, 4EU+ advisor to the President; accompanied by members of the 4EU+ unit, and the three Sport and Olympic Games project managers: Rachid Hallaf, William Petit and Serge Thorimbert, who organized the meeting.
