Emergency in Ukraine: Sorbonne University and its Foundation are Mobilized
In this difficult period, Sorbonne University and its foundation are in solidarity with students, professors and staff as well as all those directly or indirectly affected by the war in Ukraine.
Several solidarity actions are already in place.
Financial and material aid for Ukrainian and Russian students at Sorbonne University:
A special Emergency Ukraine program, partly financed by the Sorbonne University Foundation's call for donations, has been set up. It allows us to provide financial and material support to some 300 Ukrainian and Russian students currently enrolled at Sorbonne University and who are totally or partially deprived of resources as a result of the conflict.
You too can make a donation.
Reception of researchers in danger:
Within the framework of the PAUSE program, Sorbonne University is participating in the solidarity and support of Ukrainian scientists in danger. This program makes it possible to accommodate researchers in exile, as well as their families, within the university for three months.
Psychological support for those affected:
If you are in a distressing situation due to the conflict, psychologists from the University Service of Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion (SUMPPS) are available to speak with you at 15 rue de l'École de Médecine, staircase G, 3rd floor, 75006 Paris:
- Monday to Friday by appointment from 9 am to 7 pm
- Monday to Thursday without appointment from 3 pm to 4 pm
- Friday without appointment from 1 pm to 4 pm
More information on the SUMPPS website.
We all have the means to help those affected by the war in Ukraine. Within the university, the first to be impacted are students who are financially and psychologically isolated.
