Its objective: to demonstrate technological advances in assistance in the accomplishment of daily life tasks for people with disabilities.

For the 2024 edition, three teams from ISIR will participate in the challenge:

  • The Smart ArM team, specializing in the development of advanced arm prostheses for transhumeral amputees. It is competing in the “Arm Prosthesis Race” category. The events will take place on October 26 (11:35 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.).
  • The Smart ArM ROB team: a branch of the Smart ArM team, is committed to the development of new sensorimotor control methods for assistive robotics, particularly in prosthetics and exoskeletons. The team is competing in the “Assistance Robot Race” category, the events of which will be held on October 25 and 26 (6:20 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 25 and 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on October 26).
