Kick-off meeting for the 4EU+ Alliance MICI project
Sorbonne University is hosting a Kick-off meeting for the 4EU+ Alliance's MICI (EU+ Micro-Credential Integration) project, a new project that has been granted funding as part of the European Commission's Erasmus+ call for proposals on European policy experimentation.
The 4EU+ MICI Kickoff Meeting serves as a dynamic forum to align participants on the project vision, clarify roles, and collaboratively shape a concrete action plan. It offers a platform to introduce team members, establish clear timelines and deliverables, and reinforce commitment and accountability. By setting a strong foundation, the meeting will drive the development of a standardised micro-credential framework, supporting Europe’s digital and green transitions.
About the MICI project
4EU+ Micro-Credential Integration (4EU+MICI) is a joint project of eight member universities of the 4EU+ European University Alliance, responding to the European Commission's Erasmus+ call for proposals on European policy experimentation. It aims to develop a standardised and flexible system for the design, issuance and recognition of micro-credentials, with a focus on digital and green skills.
Objectives of the Kick-off meeting

- Provide accessible pathways for upskilling and reskilling, addressing labour market needs
- Foster entrepreneurship, mobility, and employability across Europe
- Demonstrate the potential of a unified micro-credential system to enhance lifelong learning
- Long-term: Transform European education by integrating micro-credentials into national and regional systems
