The 2024 Music Fever Festival

It’s time for the third edition of the Fièvres musicales, a piano and chamber music festival organized by the Greater Paris University Hospitals and Sorbonne University;

Location: Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital and Trousseau Hospital

  • The Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital’s Saint-Louis Chapel, in the hospital’s buildings and gardens, and on the premises of the Armand-Trousseau Hospital.

Evening concerts

Monday June 17

  •     8:30pm: The Fièvres musicales Camerata, at the Saint-Louis Chapel
        Musical director,  Eric Lacrouts (violin). Solists Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt (piano) and Régis     Pasquier violoncello)  
        Program: Chopin, Bach, Tchaikovsky

Tuesday June 18

  • 8:30pm:  piano recital with Geoffroy Couteau, at the Saint-Louis Chapel
  • Program: Goldberg Variations (J.S Bach)

Wednesday June 19

  • 8:30pm: 2 piano recital with Marie Josephe Jude and Michel Beroff, at the Saint-Louis Chapel

    Program: Ravel, Debussy, Stravinsky

     

Thursday June 20

  • Modigliani Quartet, Saint-Louis Chapel
    Program : Mozart, Beethoven

Friday June 21

  • 8:30pm: Sorbonne University’s choir and orchestra, at the Saint-Louis Chapel

    Directors: Nivolas Agullo and Frédéric Pineau
    Olympic program : Bernhard, Dvorak, Mantyjärvi, Suk, Whitacre…     

Saturday June 22

  • Greater Paris University Hospital’s choir, at the Saint-Louis Chapel
    30th anniversary concert, director François Pinel, at the Saint-Louis Chapel
    8:30 pm: Lacryma Voce, at the Saint-Louis Chapel
    Program : Britten, Jortie and Faure (Requiem)

Sunday June 23

  • 4:30pm: orchestra made up of French doctors, at the Saint-Louis Chapel

    Program: Borodine, Dvorak

     

As well as the above, several amateur concerts will take place every day in the gardens and buildings of the Pitié-Salpêtrière and Trousseau Hospitals.
Among the events planned, you’ll find: a musical decathlon on Monday June 17, a piano marathon Wednesday June 19, activities for children Wednesday June 19 at the Trousseau Hospital, and a jazz big band (CMA11-19), featuring100 musicians on Wednesday June 19 in the Parc de la hauteur at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital.
