Leiden Rankings: Sorbonne University at the Top
Published on June 15, the Leiden Rankings show that Sorbonne University, for the second year in a row, has the highest percentage of open access scientific publications in France.
This year, Sorbonne University increased its open access publication rate from 74.5% to 79%. This figure places Sorbonne University in sixth place in Europe. The physical sciences and engineering fields have publication rates exceeding 85%!
At Sorbonne University, the HAL portal references more than 200,000 publications, including more than 90,000 scientific articles with open access.
The Leiden Ranking measures the scientific performance of more than 1,300 major universities worldwide. This ranking is produced by the Center for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University in the Netherlands. The CWTS welcomes policy makers, research managers, researchers, journalists and others interested in the scientific performance of universities. Its ranking is based solely on bibliographic data of scientific publications and does not cover university teaching capacities.
