Medicine and paramedical studies are open to international students, but the instruction is only in French and the programme is competitive. For this reason, applying students must have high level academics and the CEFRL C1 level of fluency in French.
The Faculty of Medicine at Sorbonne University trains future doctors and health professionals from the first year of health studies through hospital internships and specialisation. The classes are given mainly at two sites: Pitié-Salpêtrière and Saint-Antoine hospitals. The faculty also provides paramedical instruction: speech therapy, psychomotricity and orthoptics. The Saint-Antoine site has a midwifery school.
